The Incident 5 pages

Larry Peerce's The Incident (1967) is a bottle thriller set almost entirely inside a single rear subway car as two hoodlums (Tony Musante, Martin Sheen) terrorize a sleeping carload of passengers across one night ride on the Lexington Avenue local. Adapted from Nicholas E. Baehr's 1963 teleplay "Ride with Terror," the film is a sustained study of bystander paralysis — half a dozen passengers each cued up with their own miniature character study before they all share the same car and the same long minute.

The Incident (1967) is the film's hub page.
