Logan's Run (1976) Logan's Run

A science fiction film directed by Michael Anderson, based on the 1967 novel by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson. Set in a sealed domed city in the 23rd century where life is terminated at age 30, the film follows a "Sandman" enforcer named Logan 5 who becomes a runner — someone who tries to escape the system he once enforced. The film won a Special Achievement Academy Award for Visual Effects and became one of the last major pre-Star Wars science fiction spectacles.
