Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window (1954). A magazine photographer (James Stewart) confined to a wheelchair in his Greenwich Village apartment with a broken leg becomes convinced his neighbor across the courtyard has murdered his wife. Written by John Michael Hayes from Cornell Woolrich's 1942 short story "It Had to Be Murder." Co-stars Grace Kelly as the girlfriend Lisa Fremont, Thelma Ritter as the home-care nurse Stella, Wendell Corey as Detective Doyle, and Raymond Burr as Lars Thorwald.
