Don Siegel (October 26, 1912 – April 20, 1991) was an American film director who began at Warner Bros. in the montage department and won two Academy Awards for short films before moving to features. He directed the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) and mentored Clint Eastwood across five films including Dirty Harry (1971). He appears in the 1978 remake as the pod taxi driver.
