Even when control drops to 28 during the baptism humiliation, Plainview's agency stays at 70 because he chose to submit — a strategic concession, not a defeat. The only moment agency and control diverge dramatically downward together is the murder of Henry: agency drops because the killing is reactive, not strategic. The milkshake scene is where both lines peak together — Plainview has been planning the drainage for years, and now he gets to explain it.
