Control vs. Agency (Audience Perspective)

Logan starts with HIGH agency as a Sandman who chooses to enforce the system — control and agency are nearly aligned. When the computer assigns his mission and steals four years, control plummets but agency drops even harder: he's no longer choosing, he's been conscripted. The gap inverts outside the dome, where Logan has almost no control over his environment but makes every choice himself — learning, protecting Jessica, articulating the truth. The return to the dome is PEAK agency: he chooses self-sacrifice with near-zero control, walking into capture knowing his testimony is the only weapon he has. The widening gap in Act V — agency soaring while control flatlines — is a man betting everything on an idea.
